Heyrod Karate-About Us

We are a family based club and believe in traditional family values.  Our aim is to provide a FUN, AFFORDABLE way to learn the art of Karate Do with no hidden extras or charges.  We endeavour to take every Student to Black Belt regardless of age, race, gender, disability etc and provide an open forum where EVERYONE can learn and enjoy the benefits that accompany Karate Do, while at the same time practicing an effective, fascinating and beautiful Martial Art.

CHOOSE US WITH CONFIDENCE.....

Unfortunately, there are many sub-standard clubs out there just waiting to take your money and give you nothing in return....We strongly urge anyone who is thinking of taking up any Martial art to do your homework on the club which you are thinking of joining before making any commitment.  Don't be afraid to ask to see their Enhanced CRB Disclosure, Insurance, Martial Art Qualifications, Coaching/Instructor Qualifications etc, the Instructor should be able to present these documents to you either immediately or at the next lesson.  All these things are a MUST for ANY reputable club. Please check out the Martial Arts Standards Agency Website to give you an idea at;

We are part of the Tameside Karate Group and Shido-Ryu Karate Association.  We are also direct members of the CMAA (Cobra Martial Arts Association) and as such are affiliated to the Sport and Recreation Alliance, MASA (Martial Arts Standards Agency), WEBBS (World Elite Black Belt Society) and the International Alliance of Martial Arts Schools.

You will find that our classes aren't over-subscribed like many Martial Arts Venues, thus giving us more time to spend individually with each Student.
